Last night, on a DVD, I saw a group with someone playing and electric mando. Solid body-Are these mano's consttructed to sound like mandos (minus all amp games) or is it made to sound 'different'-like an electric mando? |

Unamplified, there's no way that a solid body mandolin is going to sound like a "regular" mandolin. That said, twisting knobs the right way, you can probably make it sound the same amplified as an amplified "regular" mando. |

bears about the same sort of relationship to an acoustic mando as an electric guitar does to an acoustic guitar. |
